Focus on the big picture and let us handle the details for you. No matter what type of event you're working on: an association's annual convention, a corporate sales kick-off or major exhibition, achieving your program goals is top priority.

Hours of Operation

The standard hours of operation for the administrative staff are 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Our standard operating hours for client-leased spaces are 7:00 a.m. to 10:59 p.m. daily.

Information/Concierge Desk

The Center provides information for restaurants, shopping areas, entertainment and attractions within the Puerto Rico area. The Information Desk is conveniently located in the main lobby.

Telecommunications & Internet

The telecommunications and internet services are exclusive with Encore, and can be tailored to meet specific event organizer and exhibitor needs. The facility can provide broadband and wireless Internet connectivity at high speeds (500Mbps), video conferencing, and simultaneous language translations, among others. All meeting rooms and ballrooms are equipped with Ethernet connection and capabilities.

USA Parking

Self-parking lots are conveniently located adjacent to the Convention Center with capacity for 2,215 vehicles.

Lobby Lounge

The on-site Lobby Lounge-DonQ is located in the main lobby. The hour of operation is event- based. Services include Bartender & Waitress Service; 5 -42″ Led TV, 9 high bar chairs & 44 person sitting.

Building Security

The Center maintains in-house security for the premises only. The Building Security Staff maintains 24-hour security coverage for the Center’s perimeter areas, internal corridors and life safety alarm system. Building Security Staff will also secure exterior and interior access doors as well as monitor internal traffic flow.

Event Security can be arranged through the Event Manager or with one of the Pre-Qualified Security Companies that we have available. Ask your Event Manager for the most updated list.

Catering and Concessions

The Food & Beverage Department is prepared to offer the finest quality products and service for all functions from coffee breaks to exquisite gala banquets. Catering menus are available from the Food & Beverage Department.

Concession operations are available to provide retail sale food and beverage service for events. Permanent stands and portable theme carts will enhance any event’s program by featuring a variety of specialty food and beverage items. Special menus are available upon request to event organizers and exhibitors that will provide for in-booth food service.


The Center staff takes great pride in the care of the facility. Every aspect of the facility is maintained to provide you with a clean and attractive environment to house your event and welcome your members, registrants, patrons and guests.

Health and Safety Guidelines

The Puerto Rico Convention Center (PRCC) is pleased to offer a comprehensive reopening plan developed in partnership with leading venue and event management company, ASM Global, to ensure the highest level of cleanliness and safety for our staff, guests, and communities.

The health and safety of everyone who enters PRCC is our top priority. We are closely monitoring government policy changes, Centers for Disease Control (CDC), World Health Organization (WHO), and Puerto Rico Department of Health (PRDH), as we continue to make necessary changes to our policies and procedures. While some of our protocols have changed, we will continue to provide world-class service and experience as always.

Some of our new measures will include, but are not limited to:

Enhanced cleaning and sanitation

A designated sanitation team will routinely sanitize and disinfect high-touch point surfaces with CDC-compliant products such as: door handles, handrails, elevator buttons, chairs, tables, podiums, restrooms, and food and beverage areas.

Body temperature screening

Points of entry may be limited depending on the event. Our security team will conduct temperature checks and health questionnaires upon arrival to allow entry into the facilities. Anyone displaying temperature over 100.4°F (38°C) will be denied entry.

Personal protective equipment (PPE)

Face masks will be required. Guests may bring their own masks, or event organizers may provide masks for their attendees. All employees, vendors, and subcontractors will be required to use a mask and any other necessary PPE.

Food safety measures

Our Food and Beverage team will work with event organizers to customize menus and service. Only individual pre-packaged items will be offered. Buffet service will not be available

Hand sanitizing stations

Hand sanitizing stations are placed at key areas that are considered high-traffic or high-touch locations.

Signage notice

The health and safety of our guests and staff is our number one priority. Health and safety reminders are placed throughout the facility reminding guests of our protocols

Social distancing guidelines

Guests will be advised to practice social distancing by standing at least 6 feet away from others not traveling with them. Rope & stanchions and floor signage will aid directing protocol. Room set up and configuration will be adjusted to adhere to physical distancing guidelines.

Shared audiovisual equipment

Audiovisual companies are required to sanitize all shared equipment such as microphones, laptops, mice, keyboards, and clickers, between each use. Sanitation wipes can be made available upon request.

Site inspections

Virtual site inspections are encouraged. When in-person inspections are essential, the appropriated guidelines will be implemented.


VenueShield is ASM Global’s new proprietary environmental hygiene protocol developed in partnership AECOM and is being deployed at more than 325 ASM Global facilities worldwide. The VenueShield program offers best practices across work streams related to environmental hygiene, food service, customer journey, talent, public awareness, and technology and equipment, including state-of-the-art standard operating procedures (SOPs) for environmental hygiene.

GBAC STAR Facility Accreditation

PRCC has obtained the GBAC STAR Facility Accreditation as of September 2020. Issued by the Global Biorisk Advisory Council, a division of the Worldwide Cleaning Industry Association (ISSA), GBAC STAR is the gold standard of prepared facilities. This accreditation means that a facility has established and maintained a cleaning, disinfection, and infectious disease prevention program to minimize risks associated with infectious agents like the novel coronavirus.
